The Historic 1912 Hoover House is located just 22 miles from Gettysburg and 29 miles from Antietam. It was built as a private residence in 1912 by Ira and Ella Hoover.
The Historic 1912 Hoover House later became a restaurant and then assisted living facility before being transitioned into a bed and breakfast. They embrace their haunted reputation and offer paranormal tours and welcome ghost hunters year-round.
The Historic 1912 Hoover House has been known for hauntings for decades, including the spirits of patients and nurses who once lived there, ghosts from the former speakeasy, and former owner Ira Hoover. According to SanguinMacabre.com, the home was purchased by paranormal investigators Pam and Steve Barry, and have preserved the history.

Definitely a beautiful haunted inn…I’ve stayed there and captured many paranormal things..especially a close friend of mine who passed in 2000..and showed up during a session we were all having…The owers are so kind and make your stay a true pleasure!!
Spectacular “Haunted” Bed & Breakfast with an at Home Feel!!!
We have stayed at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast many times!! There is such a homey feel that is very inviting!! Pam and Steve are your hosts and their hospitality is the best!! The breakfast is amazing every day!! The house has a personality all it’s own and helps create the loving atmosphere!! Ghost Investigations and Table tipping are done at the house andI they are both experiences you won’t forget!! Highly recommend you stay and experience this awesome house for yourself!! You will not be disappointed!!
Fabulous place for ghost investigations
This home is so lovely and steeped in history. Great paranormal activity events, victorian table tipping and more. We so enjoyed our stay with and loved the delicious breakfast that our Hostess Pam Barry made for us. So many other places to explore close by as well. We will be definitely returning soon
